Introduction

Sky Playback is a multi channel data playback tool.

It can be used as a general purpose playback tool for any types of data, and it has some special features and treatment for ASTERIX data.

Data recorded from different sources and at different time can be synchronized and replayed.

For ASTERIX data, some data items can be modified during the playback.

Features

As a general purpose playback tool, ASTERIX Playback has the following features:

• Multi channel synchronized playback

  Data recorded from different sources and at different time can be synchronized and replayed.

• Time range and auto rewind

  Replay data recorded in specified time range, and auto rewind when reaching end of time range.

• Mute replay

  It’s possible to manually mute any channel during playback.

And for ASTERIX data, it can make modifications to original ASTERIX data during playback.

• Modify timestamp

  The timestamp in original ASTERIX data can be replaced by current time during playback, a delay and random jitter can also be applied. This function is specially useful when you are feeding recorded data to a tracker, messages will not be rejected due to timestamp error.

• Modify SAC/SIC

  The SAC and/or SIC in original ASTERIX data can be replaced by specified ones during playback.
